Common Name - Spiny Rush
Juncus acutus is a spiny, sharp pointed perennial plant. The unbranched stems of this plant emerge from a central cluster and the tips give rise to adventitous plantlets from the inflorescence. These plantlets give rise to plants when the stem droops and touches the soil. Juncus acutus performs well in full sun.
