Scientific Name - Oenanthe javanica
Common Name - Water Dropwort, Water Celery
Oenanthe javanica is an easy to grow, beautiful plant that has tri-coloured leaves that appear green, cream and pink in varying hues. It produces small, white flowers during the summer. Sometimes the flowers emit a wine-like fragrance which is sometimes undetectable. In Japan, the vegetable is finely-chopped and added to one-pot dishes, such as sukiyaki. It is also a substitute for the celery.
