Common Name - Variegated Sweet Flag
Acorus calamus 'Variegatus' is a perennial plant that forms mats of stiff, narrow bladed leaves with creamy white edges. The leaves are aromatic and taste pungent. The plant produces flower rarely; when it does the flowers are 3-8cm long, cylindrical in shap, greenish brown and covered in a multitude of rounded spikes. IT performs well in full sun. It can tolerate clay soil.
